It's been a busy few weeks. I've just submitted my print order for the second of two Santa Paws sessions. What's Santa Paws you ask? Well I'll give you a hint. It involves Santa, Pets, and a not for profit called the RSPCA. Let me start at the beginning. In February this year, we had a new store open up here. It was Australia's first ever RSPCA Pet Shop. With no RSPCA shelter, and no real need for one population wise, we were an area that had trouble adopting homeless pets without extensive travel. Queue the RSPCA pet shop to fill the void. Well, I'm a very happy man, I submitted a version of my photo of the couch in an abandoned house to a local art gallery who had expressions of interest open for an upcoming exhibition. I've been selected as a finalist, with the winner to be announced on June 19th. Regardless of winners and losers, my picture will be printed in mega size on metallic and block mounted and displayed in the gallery for ~2 months, where it will be for sale for anyone who happens to like it.
